To work in collaboration with member merchants to support, enhance and grow our business community, united in the goal of promoting business networking and community engagement with a stay local, shop local philosophy.  

The Wedowee Merchants Association was formally established in January 2023 to bring together the various business organizations to help maintain a positive economic environment not only for existing businesses, but to further the economic stability of the community and create new opportunities for others. 

Our desire is also to provide residents and visitors to our town with a unique, friendly and rewarding experience.

The Wedowee Merchants Association is comprised of seven board members, four of whom also act as officers of the organization. Standing committees at present include Marketing and Promotion, Events, Beautification, Economic Development, and Membership with board members serving as advisors to each committee.

Member businesses are encouraged to join one or more of the committees to lend their talents and expertise for the benefit of all.  Quarterly meetings are at Wedowee City Hall held the fourth Thursday of January, April, July and October.
